Castrol GTX
Premium conventional motor oil with Tri-Shield Technology

TriShield™ is a unique triple-action technology that attracts, captures & disperses particles that can build-up in engines and cause deposits. TriShield™ stops small particles from becoming big problems, and protects the car you rely on.

  • Unique TriShield™ technology actively protects against particles that build-up in car engines with the most advanced deposit-fighting ingredients
  • Castrol GTX uses premium, custom-made additives and is the most advanced conventional oil available
  • Ultra-low friction to improve gas mileage
  • Maximum protection against thermal breakdown among leading oils

Regularly changing a vehicle's engine oil is necessary to ensure proper engine function as well as to ensure that a vehicle engine lasts for as long as possible. Oil changes remove old, dirty engine oil and replace it with clean, fresh engine oil.

Regular oil changes provide several benefits:

  • lubricates your engine so that it runs more smoothly
  • cleans your engine by removing deposits and sludge
  • cools your engine and stabilizes operating temperature
  • protects your engine by reducing friction and wear
  • increases engine performance and maximizes power
  • improves gas mileage and runs more efficiently

Moreover, every Castrol Full Service Oil Change includes our 20-point service checklist, which helps ensure that all of the major mechanical components of your vehicle perform and last. In fact, regular maintenance is the single most important thing you can do to extend the life of your vehicle.

"Severe" Service Explained

Most vehicle manuals recommend that you service your vehicle more frequently if you drive in “severe” conditions. Most drivers are surprised at what counts for severe driving. In fact, for most drivers, “normal” driving habits are actually “severe”! “Severe” driving conditions include one or more of the following:

  • driving in stop and go traffic
  • driving in extremely hot or cold temperatures
  • driving at prolonged higher engine speeds
  • taking multiple trips averaging 5 to 10 miles in length
  • frequent cold start-ups and shut downs
  • extensive engine idling
  • towing and/or hauling heavy loads
  • driving in dusty or muddy conditions
  • driving in mountainous terrain

Protect your vehicle with proper maintenance to counteract the effects of severe driving.
